Hey. My name is Leslie and I write about chronic illness, recovery, and the life that unfolds as a result of both. I don’t do toxic positivity. I grieve and celebrate as it comes: in waves. I’ve found the deeper I get into my recovery, the more things I recover from. Not only my primary illness but also my social conditioning, outdated or limiting beliefs, and traumas that have burrowed so deep I didn’t think it was possible to separate from them.

I played a writer on the internet many years ago. I’ve come back to write about the things I want to write about. I hope to create a series of essays that connect with people who find themselves in chronic recovery too. It might get random. You’ll just have to check regularly to see what wants to be written today. Please enjoy.

Thank you for stopping by Chronic Recovery. Come back soon.
